On Wednesday, September 4, 2019, Judith (Judy) Kathryn (Haigerty) Moss, met her heavenly Father at the age of 81, surrounded by her loving family. She was born in Indianapolis, IN on July 26, 1938 to Joseph and Cecilia Rose (Ryan) Haigerty. Judy was a devoted member of Little Flower Catholic Church for more than 50 years, where she served as Eucharistic Minister, and was a faithful volunteer at the St. Vincent DePaul Society for 25 years, helping thousands of people in need. She also had a successful career as a Tupperware sales representative and as an AFLAC insurance agent. Judy lived with a genuine spirt for giving, and her true calling was caring for her loving children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She will be greatly missed by so many whose lives she positively affected.
Judy is survived by her six children, Ron Moss (Maggie), Tim Moss (Holly), Gary Moss (Terri), Arlene Foust (Dan), Mike Moss (Jaymie), and Mark Moss (Angela); seventeen grandchildren and four great-grandchildren; as well as her brothers Joe and Tom Haigerty and sisters Janet Patterson (Jim) and Jeanine Adkins. Her brother David Haigerty, and sisters Barbara Slack and Karen Auler, precede her in death.
Visitation is from 4-8 pm on Monday, September 9 at Indiana Funeral Care, where callers can greet family members. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:00 am on Tuesday, September 10 at Little Flower Catholic Church. Interment will occur later in a private ceremony for her immediate and extended family members at Oaklawn.
In lieu of flowers, the family has asked for donations to Little Flower Catholic Church.

Our prayers are with all of her family. Judy was a wonderful person. I feel fortunate to have known her. Judy was close to her Aunt Mary Agnes Haigerty. Vernon’s wife. Mary Agnes was my husband’s Aunt. She was gracious enough to bring Aunt Mary Agnes to some of our family functions after Uncle Vernon died. We enjoyed our visits remembering family and friends we had in common. Rest In Peace Judy. 🙏🏻🙏🏻

I didn’t know Judy for too many years, but I thought of her as a friend and enjoyed playing Euchre with her on the third Tuesday every month. We kept in touch by phone and text when she was no longer able to join us. I will miss her and know she’s in a better and pain free place.
